ORGANISERS of the upcoming “I Got This” concert, which is scheduled for 7 Arts Theatre in Avondale next month, have said it is a landmark event in the fight against cervical cancer.
The concert is not just a celebration of music and art but it embodies a powerful movement aimed at raising awareness and fostering community support for women’s health issues.
In an interview, organiser Tinopona Katsande, said: “This concert is a testament to resilience and the strength of women,” she said.
“It’s about using our voices and talents to create change and inspire others to take charge of their health.” She said the evening will feature the likes of Tshedi Malaika, Plaxedes Wenyika and DJ Storm Zim. Mai Jeremaya will also be part of the show. The concert’s theme revolves around empowerment and awareness, with proceeds benefiting cervical cancer awareness initiatives.
“Cervical cancer is a silent killer but we are here to change that narrative,” Katsande said.
“Together, we are raising our voices not just for ourselves but for every woman who has been affected by this disease.”
The event serves as a gathering point for community support, reflecting a collective determination to tackle health issues that disproportionately affect women. It’s a celebration of female strength and solidarity. The “I Got This” concert not only entertains but educates the audience about the realities of cervical cancer, blending music and advocacy seamlessly.
In an era where social platforms often overshadow real-world issues, the concert stands as a beacon of hope and determination.
By promoting the cause through art, Impeccable Solutions, who are hosting the show, are not only providing entertainment but also engaging the public in meaningful conversations about health, resilience and support.
