Afro Jazz musician Blessing “Bled” Chimanga says he has no time for a relationship as he is married to music which has taken over every aspect of his life.
At just 23 years, Bled, an accomplished musician, has toured Africa and Europe, working with established artistes such as Ray Phiri, Pastor G, Hope Masike, the late Chiwoniso Maraire and Andy Brown.
“My life is centered around music and travelling, nothing else. Music has ceased being just a career but has become my life. I’m still very single and I’m sure the time for me to raise a family will come,” said Bled from his Austria base.
The talented drummer and percussionist who will be travelling back to Bulawayo for a show at the Rainbow Elite on November 27 said his music was inspired by life experiences.
“My life experiences really inspire my music. I want my music to inspire, motivate and ignite people’s dreams until they become a reality. As such, I’ve songs that talk about how one should hold on to their dreams as I also fought for my own dream to become a musician,” said Bled.
In Bulawayo, the pint-sized musician will perform with his band, Dreams at a benefit concert for less privileged children. They will be joined by Jeys Marabini, Zanele Uzah Manhenga and i-Tribe.
The show dubbed ‘Dreams Reloaded Concert’ will run concurrently with supermodel – Tholakele Dlamini’s fashion show.
