‘I haven’t joined MDC-T’

she is denying the claims.

Party organising secretary, Mr Nelson Chamisa, on Sunday claimed Mrs Mutinhiri was now “part of them”.
Mr Chamisa was speaking at a rally in his Kuwadzana East constituency.
He also claimed that there were other Zanu-PF legislators who voted on the MDC-T side during elections for the post of Speaker of the House of Assembly.

These, too, Chamisa said, were now members of the MDC-T.
“Tracy Mutinhiri is now ours,” he said. “This includes some from Zanu-PF who voted on our side in Parliament during the election to fill the post of Speaker. I will not mention their names.”

When contacted for comment yesterday, Ms Mutinhiri said: “Makandiona ndiriko here kurally kwacho. Why don’t you confirm through seeing the person at the rally. Please chimbondizorodzaiwo.”
Ms Mutinhiri is, however, on record having said she was quitting politics after being expelled from Zanu-PF.
She was recently expelled from Zanu-PF after the Mashonaland East executive said she was no longer working for the party.
