I’M NOT A SANGOMA: AMULI

SUNGURA musician Gift Amuli has dismissed reports that he is still a sangoma.

There have been social media claims that the Zvishavane Sounds leader went into traditional healing when he saw that his musical career was not paying off.

He, however, has cleared the air saying he was now a Christian.

“I am now a born-again Christian.

“I have decided to give my life to Christ, who is my Saviour, and redeemer,” he said.

Amuli said he was now focusing his attention on music and is set to tour the country.

“This last quarter, we are releasing a scorcher of an album before the end of the year.

“We are also planning on releasing videos and touring the country.

“We are prepared for the festive season as well,” he said.

Asked how he manages to sustain his band, at a time when most groups are yet to recover from the Covid-19 lockdown, he said:

“We have now started doing live shows.

“We are surviving from gate takings, among other hustles.”
