HE has played just ONE game but Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana, has already scored more goals than the Double K combination of Khama Billiat and Keagan Dolly.
The Burundi international scored both Kaizer Chiefs goals, in a 2-1 win over SuperSport United at the weekend, to end a run of three games without a win for the ABimenmakhosi.
His two goals mean he has scored more goals, in one game, than both Dolly and Billiat have scored, together, all season.
The Zimbabwean is yet to open his goal account this season, in the six league matches, and one MTN8 match, which he has played in.
Dolly only has one goal in eight league matches and one MTN8 game.
Billiat and Dolly have scored one goal in a combined 1277 minutes while Bimenyimana has two goals in just one match.
Coach Arthur Zwane believes Bimenyimana has fitted in like a glove at the club while also outlining the striking qualities the Burundian brings to the Soweto giants.
The Burundian international levelled matters for Amakhosi late in the first half before scoring a penalty in the 54th when Yusuf Maart was brought down in the 18-area.
The 24-year-old attacker joined the Soweto giants a few weeks into the 2022/23 season, and Zwane has now explained the different qualities brought by the talisman.
“Caleb [Bimenyimana] is giving us a different dimension,” Zwane told the media.
“You know we have a lot of nippy players who are very good on 1v1 and also who are not tall on the ball but very mobile.
“So Caleb is stronger on the ball, he’s very quick and explosive to attack the near post so we got that type of a striker.
“That’s why we had to take our time in terms of bringing in someone so that when he comes in we complement him.
“Because it’s pointless to bring in a player who is not fitting into the system or the way we want to play, and we obviously had to profile him properly.
“And when we bring him in, we sure that he’s gonna help us improve our game,” added Zwane – Sports Reporter/FARPost
