participation, a party official says.
Zanu-PF director of Indigenisation and Economic Empowerment, Cde Prosper Masenyama said the participation of the youth in the party empowered them to participate in national politics.
“The huge number of youths who won in the primary elections is commendable,” he said.
“This alone demonstrates that Zanu-PF cares for the youth and space is now there for them to spearhead youth empowerment and indigenisation.”
Cde Masenyama called for unity among party candidates both winning and losing to rally behind the party in the elections due on the last day of this month.
“In Zanu-PF there are no losers in primary elections. We are one family with one common goal and one destiny,’ he said.
“I appeal to the comrades who lost to rally behind the winning candidates and avoid splitting the votes.”
He urged people to vote for Zanu-PF candidates to ensure a fair representation on issues to do with the youth themselves.
“The time to entertain the inclusive Government is over. We cannot stand to see another inclusive Government,’’ he said.
Some of the young Turks who won the ticket to represent Zanu PF include Cdes Mike Gava and his wife Tendai Wenyika-Gava, Varaidzo Mpunga, Tabeth Kanengoni, Toni Dziva, Kudzi Chipanga and Vaida Garakasha among others.
