Youth Development, Indigenisation and Empowerment Minister Saviour Kasukuwere, recently challenged Zimbabwean youths to embrace the empowerment drive.
He was addressing parents and children during a prize giving ceremony at Bradley High School in Madziwa.
“We are still in the process of building the economy hence the need to harness the youths.
“Parents are giving children the intellectual capacity to be able to sustain themselves and this is high time everyone participates in the empowerment programme,” he said.
He said education played a pivotal role in the development of the nation.

The country, he said, should not rely on handouts as it had vast natural resources.
“Many people think that it is impossible to be masters of our own destiny but we have to prove them wrong.
“Our people should occupy the centre space and not depend on other nations. We also want more artists such as Oliver Mtukudzi who rose through the ladder to become prominent people,” he said.
Minister Kasukuwere handed over prizes to more than 50 Bradley High School students who had performed well in the academic and non-academic fields.
