Infidelity allegations after woman seeks protection from estranged hubby

A heart-broken Bulawayo man exposed his estranged wifeas lust for extramarital intimacy when he revealed she was in the habit of leaving their new-born baby at home while allegedly going to meet her lover at a local hotel.

Herenimo Marumani disclosed this at the Bulawayo Civil Court where his estranged wife Millicent Matshazi had dragged him seeking a protection order.

This was after Matshazi had told presiding magistrate Sithembile Ncube she was no longer emotionally connected to him.

a?I am seeking a protection order against Herenimo Marumani who is the father of my children and we are no longer staying together. Before I left our matrimonial home in November last year he was in the habit of physically and financially abusing me.

a?Despite the fact that we are no longer staying together he is also in the habit of stalking me.

a?He has also threatened to kill me and I want the court to help me so that he should not interfere with my life,a? said Matshazi.

Matshazias response did not however, go down well with Marumani who spewed venom claiming she was the one who was emotionally abusing him with her string of extra-marital affairs.

a?Ever since she left me I have been trying to reconcile with her for the sake of our children. Since I am from a broken family I donat want our children to have the same fate. I am surprised that she is saying we are no longer together yet last month we had sex. Millicent cheated on me on several occasions.

a?At one time I discovered that she was leaving our new-born baby at home while going to meet her Harare-based lover at a local hotel. I know she is young and beautiful but she does not realise that the men she is falling in love with are only using her.

a?She is currently in love with another lawyer who stays in Mahatshula and she meets him every morning under the pretext that she would be going out for exercises,a? said a dejected Marumani.

Commenting before passing the judgment the magistrate said the court was of the opinion that the parties go for counselling since Marumani was hopeful they could reconcile.

As a result an interim order was granted in which Marumani was ordered not to be violent towards his estranged wife and not to stalk her. The parties were also referred for counselling for two weeks. .
