TINO Kadewere, who will miss the Warriors’ back-to-back assignments against Namibia due to a calf injury, believes the team is going to meet its objectives.
The first match gets underway at Orlando Stadium in Johannesburg today.
The reverse encounter is set for the same venue on Monday.
The Warriors are in third place, with two points, after settling for two draws against Kenya and Uganda.
Kadewere, who also missed the first two games because of injury, said it is unfortunate he won’t be part of the campaign again.
“We are in a tough group against Cameroon, Kenya and Namibia.
“The teams make our task difficult as they are competitive and we don’t have a good head-to-head record against the three in recent years.
“But I have confidence in my team, we did well in our opening games by not losing as we managed to pick points against Kenya and Cameroon.
“This time, I believe our boys will be able to collect maximum points.
“Despite the injuries, the squad remains balanced and perfect to do the assignment.
“I believe we have lacked goals but I believe this time the team will find solutions.
“Unfortunately, I won’t be able to play my part but, like everyone else, I want to see the team becoming successful.”
Despite being grounded in the last two matches, Kadewere is looking forward to coming back stronger.
“I have missed two successive outings with the Warriors due to injuries but I still believe I have a lot to offer to the squad and I am looking forward to being ready for the next assignment.
“As players, we encounter a lot of challenges and people weigh in with different opinions, which are both positive and negative.
“With all that we try to remain focused on delivering,” he said.
