After successfully launching their latest album in September at a subscribed event held at Newtown Music Factory in South Africa, Tshibilika music group Insimbi ZeZhwane will give their fans a taste of the project as they will be performing tonight (8November) at Palace Hotel.
Led by Meluleki “Brema” Moyo who is also the bassist of Insimbi ZeZhwane – the album is the group’s first full-length release since the tragic passing of lead vocalist Elvis “Ma Eli” Mathe and drummer Thembinkosi “Maviri” Mpofu last year.
The multi-award-winning group’s devoted fans, affectionately known as the “purple nation”, are expected to grace the show in their large numbers as the event is staged courtesy of public demands from Insimbi’s followers.
Those who will attend will have a chance to witness the group belting out some of the latest songs on the album like “Imbeleko,” “Ingqinamba,” “Umfukula,” “Morning Glory,” “Imbobo Zamajuba,” “Umathambula,” and “Mileage.”
Brema said they were overwhelmed by the number in attendance when they launched the album in Mansi.
As they are staging the show on home soils at Palace Hotel tonight, Brema encouraged fans to come in numbers as the album launch will represent a new beginning for the group.
“We’re excited to bring the new album to Bulawayo, our home ground. Palace Hotel is where our fans know us best, and we invite everyone to come out, experience the new music, and buy the band’s merchandise,” said he said.
Brema praised Frank “High Tower” Masuku and Luke Ergan Mathe for nailing the vocals on the project.
