Several international companies are exhibiting at the ongoing Zimbabwe Agricultural Society (ZAS) with some expressing willingness to set up shop in Zimbabwe.
The presence of international companies is an endorsement of President Mnangagwa’s Zimbabwe is open for business mantra under which he has been inviting investors to come and set up shop in the country.
Pakistan-based company Musavir is one of the companies participating at ZAS and its director of Research and Development Mr Junaid Sabri said they are willing to expand their operations into Zimbabwe.
“It is not my first time in Zimbabwe, I was here in 2022 as well, our company is an exporter of all types of paints, we have been in this business since 1992 and we want to expand into Zimbabwe,” said Mr Sabri.
“By the end of the year, we might have a warehouse in Harare and also we will have a shop in downtown Harare.
“We are really excited by the people of Zimbabwe, the way they trade with us, their friendliness, their culture and peace.”
