A high-powered media delegation represented by Zimpapers group chief operating officer and editor-in-chief, Pikirayi Deketeke, ZBC chief executive, Happison Muchechetere, New Ziana editor-in-chief and acting chief executive officer, Rangarirayi Shoko and the chief executive officer of Transmedia Corporation, Mrs Florence Sigudu Matambo, is also part of the Zimbabwean negotiating team.
Zimpapers is negotiating co-operation agreements with various Iranian newspapers aimed at enhancing information exchange between Zimbabwe and Iran so that stories from both countries are told from the perspective of journalists from the two nations.
Last year, Zimpapers and the Iran Cultural and Press Institute signed a Memorandum of Understanding expressing an interest to enhance co-operation.
The two institutions agreed to share articles and editorials via email and each side would be authorised to reproduce these stories.
They also agreed to facilitate representatives from both sides to attend their professional media programmes.
