Israel hostility denounced

PALESTINIAN Ambassador to Zimbabwe Tamer Almassri has strongly condemned Israel’s recent actions and statements from its leaders, which threaten to dismantle the Palestinian authority and destroy the possibility of a Palestinian state.

Amb Almassri said Israel’s plans for the full annexation of the West Bank and a complete takeover of Gaza represent a grave violation of international law and a direct assault on the fundamental rights of the Palestinian people.

He said such actions of genocide, ethnic cleansing, and forced displacements, coupled with the ongoing confiscation of Palestinian tax revenues, are a clear strategy to paralyze the Palestinian Authority, cripple the economy, and perpetuate the humanitarian crisis.

The Ambassador said the international community must not stand by as Israel systematically dismantles the foundations of a future Palestinian state.

“All nations should uphold their legal and moral obligations by imposing sanctions and holding Israel accountable for its flagrant disregard for international law and human rights. Palestinian people deserve to live in freedom and dignity in their own sovereign state, with Jerusalem as its capital,” Amb Almassri said.
