ALL is now set for the July Worship Music Festival and organisers are saying preparations are now at an advanced stage.
Minister Michael Mahendere and Direct Worship will host a three-day show at the Harare Gardens from July 11-13.
This year’s theme is ‘Celebrating The Beauty Of Diversity’.
A number of talented gospel musicians are lined up to perform at the festival.
Minister Ellard, Janet Manyowa, Sharon Cherayi, Bridget Ndanga, Eleana Makombe, Tsitsi, Mai Tande, Psalmist Hubert C, Everton Mlalazi, Tapiwa Masara, Misheck Mahendere, Larry Gunda, Pastor Josh Kays and Blessing Jeduthan are expected to be part of the show.
In an interview, Minister Mahendere said the festival was a safe space for gospel lovers.
“Many reasons gave birth to the festival, as children of God we rarely have moments where we set aside to ‘hang out’ or gather and enjoy ourselves with friends and family aside from the church.
“So, this festival serves that purpose.
“It’s a safe space to gather as children of God. Worship is pivotal in the walk with God and the festival serves as a portal where we gather and worship the King of Kings, Jesus Christ, without boundaries.
“The workshop is a platform to share what I have learnt from my many years in the industry as a worship leader, music minister and an artist.
“There are many who journey in the industry without the knowledge of how to navigate profitably so, during the workshop, we’ll have in-depth discussions on some of the key points of that journey.”
Minister Mhendere is positive that they will fill Harare Gardens.
“On this one, we are focusing on our internationally-recognised locals. We have heaters all around the venue to make sure that the cold is the last thing on people’s minds.
“Funding is a challenge but by God’s special grace, and the outstretched hands of our sponsors, we will be victorious.”
