CHICKEN Inn captain, Moses Jackson, says they need to win against FC Platinum, at Luveve this weekend, if they want to win the championship.
The Gamecocks are enjoying a fine run, which has seen them going for seven games, without a loss.
Joey Antipas’s men are in command of the Castle Lager Premiership race with 38 points, just a point above the revitalised champions.
Chicken Inn lost the reverse fixture 1-2 to Norman Mapeza’s FC Platinum.
“We are expecting to continue from where we left off last weekend, a tough fixture is ahead of us, but it’s the matter of who wants it more,” said Jackson.
“We don’t have any pressure at all, it’s about doing things correctly, and this is the game which will ease all the pressure.
“We are all in the championship race, so this game demands that we work extra hard to claim maximum points, we have to have good character.
“Our attitude towards the game must be right if we are to achieve the intended target.”
The two sides came back from the mid-season break with a string in their step.
Chicken Inn thrashed Cranborne Bullets 4-1 at Sakubva.
The champions edged Tenax 2-0 at the same venue in Mutare.
Goalkeeper Wallace Malagane is yet to concede a goal, since taking over from Petros Mhari, who is nursing an injury.
