“I fell like it’s the beginning of great things and I thank God for he is faithful and just. I could have released the album last year but God knew the right time.
“I included the song ‘Mazuva Acho’ by my late sister as a tribute to her.
I also included a medley of her songs from the last album she did before she passed on and I hope this will go a long way in bringing back the memories to her legion of fans,” she said.
The gospel sensation said she would be staging live shows. “In the near future, I will start to have live shows where I will perform my song and that of Jack,” she said.
The album that was done at Extol Studio comprises songs like “Come Now”, “Jesu”, “Mandiri”, “Miracles”, and “Zvinoda Wamuziva” among others.
Mabel’s album is indeed powerful enough to refresh memories of when Jackie was still alive.
Ivy Kombo
Jackie, who died in 2004 at the age of 23, was a promising gospel artiste whose music career was cut short by a car accident.
Her combination with Ivy Kombo of “Handidzoketre Shure” fame was a marvel as the two won the hearts of many during their time.
Mabel survived the accident which claimed her sister’s life.
