artiste’s maiden tour of the UK, revealing that the visas had been processed.
“Visas for Jah Prayzah have been granted and they are flying out on Wednesday,” said Munyanyi from his UK base.
Lloyd Kurima, one of the band officials, said they were thrilled to be embarking on their first international tour, adding this was chance to lift the country’s flag high.
“According to reports we are getting from the UK, people are crazy about Jah Prayzah and they are going to have the time of their lives when he performs there.
“Jah Prayzah knows the kind of music that Zimbabweans in the Diaspora like and this is an opportunity to prove himself,” he said.
Jah Prayzah is expected to share the stage with another gifted young Zimbabwean musician, Eock Guni, popularly known as Nox of the “Ndinonyara” hit song.
Nox has been in music for a long time and has also performed in South Africa.
Jah Prayzah, on the other hand, has had a phenomenal rise to stardom ever since he stormed the music scene a few years ago.
His song “Sungano” became an instant hit with music lovers and whatever he released afterwards turned out to be gold.
The artiste has three albums to his name — “Rudo Nerunyararo”, “Sungano Yerudo” and “Ngwarira Kuparara”.
He has also shared the staged with some of the country’s leading musicians like the legend Oliver Mtukudzi, Alick Macheso, Leonard Zhakata, Freddy “Kapfupi” Manjalima as well as some foreign artistes.
Apart from music, Jah Prayzah has also made some cameo roles in comedies “Bag Remhosva” and “Bag Rabvaruka”.
Meanwhile, Munyanyi, who is promoting Jah Prayzah’s UK tour, has also revealed that rising sungura star, Romeo Gasa, will be embarking on his maiden tour of the UK in April next year.
“On Romeo Gasa I have done so much work that I am surprised he is more popular here than he is in Zimbabwe. He is now scheduled here for April next year after the UK winter,” Munyanyi said.
