Multiple award winner Jah Prayzah and Suluman Chimbetu will this Sunday hold a joint show at the Spillway Pub and Restaurant along Lake Chivero. The two are expected to illuminate the joint, which resumes live shows this weekend after a short break.
The show, which also serves as a farewell gig for the two — who will be holding separate tours — is expected to be a memorable event.

Spillway Pub and Restaurant manager Kenny Madangure said the gig was one of many shows they plan to hold in 2014.

“We are going to have a packed entertainment calendar that will run throughout the year,” he said.

Drawn from different backgrounds, Sulu and Jah Prayzah have shown that they are capable performers who can rock music lovers at any venue with style and verve.

Having shared the stage before, their act — like fine wine — gets better with the passage of time.

Jah Prayzah is the man of the moment after bagging four awards at the National Arts Merits Awards.

Apart from arming himself with a good discography that is enjoying rave reviews in both the electronic and print media, Jah Prayzah (real name Mukudzei Mukombe) is complemented by a group of youthful and talented musicians who can perform for hours on end.

Backed by the Third Generation Band — his moves are fast-paced and well-choreographed to match the rhythm of his music — creating a revelling atmosphere among his fans.

His unique stage presentation and depth of his content are his best weapons while his command of the Shona language is incomparable.

Sulu too is known for his good stage work and his consistency.

His flair appeals to a growing fan base that enjoys the mixed version of dendera and afro-pop.
