A FURIOUS and bitter ex-husband from Parklands landed in court after pummeling his former wife in broad daylight, accusing her of cheating!
Adolf Mpofu (42) appeared before Bulawayo magistrate Evia Matura facing domestic abuse charges. Despite pleading not guilty, the court convicted him after a full trial.
His punishment? A US$300 fine or its ZiG equivalent—plus a six-month suspended sentence on condition he keeps his hands to himself for the next five years!
The drama unfolded on 2 March 2025 around 3 PM, as Mpofu and his ex-wife Cymantha Makonese walked along the road from Hillcrest to town. Without warning, Mpofu allegedly flew into a jealous rage and started raining fists on her!
The terrified woman reported the assault to the police, leading to Mpofu’s swift arrest.
