No Respect! Grandson robs granny’s stall—then curses her Out!”

A 22-YEAR-OLD man from Pumula East Bulawayo has appeared before the Western Commonage magistrate’s court for stealing groceries from his grandmothers vending stall.
The accused Fanuel Lunga appeared before magistrate Archie Wochiwunga charged with Contravening Section 10 (7) of the Domestic Violence Act Chapter 5:16 “Breach of Protection Order”.
The matter was remanded to 3 April 2025 for commencement of trial.
Allegations leveled against him are that on 26 January 2025 at Pumula East and at around 6 am Fanuel arrived at his place of residence where he resides with his grandmother Mainah Lunga (72) and started insulting her saying that she is going to suffer.
The accused then proceeded to steal various groceries worth US$100 from his grandmother’s vending stall and went away.
Fanuel violated a protection order which was granted by a competent court which requires him not to take any of his grandmother’s property or sell without her consent.
