Jealous lover stabs ex wife

A jealous man from Bulawayo, who could not fathom the fact that his ex-lover was pregnant with another a�?mana��s seeda�� got into a fit of rage and stabbed the woman thrice with a knife.

Enock Mutsvinga, (24, ABOVE) stabbed his pregnant former wife who is a student at Oasis College thrice on the back after she allegedly provoked him to jealousy.

As the law would have it; for the offence, Mutsvinga has been brought before the court where he pleaded not guilty to attempted murder before Regional magistrate Sibongile Msipa-Marondedze. He was remanded out of custody to 17 June.

In his defense Mutsvinga told the Court that it was not his intention to stab his ex-wife but he was angered by the provoking sentiments she uttered.

a�?She came to my place to collect her belongings. As we were talking she started boasting and saying she wanted to go to her new boyfriend who is responsible for her pregnancy. I was provoked and an argument ensued and we ended up fighting,a�? Mutsvinga said.

For the State, prosecutor Concilia Ncube told the court that on 6 February this year, the complainant proceeded to Mutsvingaa��s home.

a�?When she got to the house to collect her belongings, Mutsvinga gave her the things and offered to accompany her.

While on the way in a bushy area in Mahatshula North, Mustvinga stabbed the woman thrice with a knife,a�? said Ncube.

Ncube said the woman was rushed to United Bulawayo Hospitals for treatment.

A police report was made leading to Mutsvingaa��s arrest and a medical report was produced in court as evidence. .
