He says the embargoes are not beneficial to America and Zimbabwe.
Speaking to journalists in Harare after a two-hour meeting with President Mugabe at his Munhumutapa Office today, Rev Jackson says sanctions are not benefiting anyone.
“We will not be satisfied until the barriers between our two great nations are removed. It is the right thing to do and it is mutually beneficial,” he said.
Rev Jackson said American businesses were eager to invest in Zimbabwe and singled out the mining sector.
Zimbabwe is one of the major diamond producing countries in the world and America, as one of the major consumers of the gems, is missing out because of the sanctions.
