Afro jazz crooner, Jeys Marabini, won the Life Time Achievement award at the Edu-Foundation Tesma Awards held in Gwanda.

This was his eighth music award.

The year 2023 seems to be promising for Marabini, who is also a popular choreographer and acoustic Afro jazz guitarist.

‘‘I am honoured by this award for my musical work. It’s exciting, motivating and a spiritual rejuvenation in my music career.

‘‘I do not feel like I have personally won it alone, but it is an encouraging mark to all struggling and upcoming artists. Who knew this was to one day come my way because I am still pushing without supervision.”

He said he was looking forward to the new year.

“It seems 2023 is promising for me because I was unexpectedly invited to South Africa.  I’m am mixing and mingling with top global artistes and businesspersons,” said Marabini.
