A Harare woman took her ex-husband to the Harare Civil Court accusing him of failing to maintain his five-month-old child.

Violet Kambanje claimed US$100 from the US$120 she believes her ex-husband, Stanley Zhuwawo, earns.

Stanley told the court that he does not earn US$120, but $82 000 and then offered 15 percent of his salary.

‘‘He does not pay rent; he lives in a company house and does not need bus fare. He has a wife, but they do not have a child yet,’’ she said.

Magistrate Stanley to pay $25 000.
