Jilted man in panties drama

Harare Bureau
A JILTED man is in the habit of visiting his ex-girlfriend at her house to steal her undergarments, the Harare Civil Court heard yesterday.
Mpokiseni Chimano said her ex-boyfriend Jimmy Kapone was breaching her peace and making her life horrible.
Chimano was seeking a protection order against Kapone whom she said was in the habit of verbally and physically abusing her.
“I am sick and tired of being abused by this man and I want the court to bar him from coming to my place of residence,” she said.

Chimano told Harare Civil Court magistrate Babra Masinire that she was now living in fear because Kapone was in the habit of taking away her undergarments to an unknown place.

“I was admitted in hospital Iast month after he physically abused me following a misunderstanding,” she said.
Kapone denied the allegations and accused Chimano of lying before the court.

“I am not doing whatever she has just said,” he said. “As for the verbal abuses, I can say that we exchange harsh words.”
But Kapone said he was not opposed to Chimano’s application. Masinire granted the protection order which barred Kapone from verbally or physically abusing Chimano and ordered the two to keep peace towards each other at all times.
