Mutsvangwa told the court that she knew Nzvaura as her husband’s girlfriend. Nzvaura interjected and insisted that Mutsvangwa was the second wife who was married after her. The two started hurling insults at each other prompting magistrate Mr Milton Serima to intervene.
Mr Serima called the husband Amos Mande to clarify the relationship between the two women. “They are both my wives, but I haven’t told Mutsvangwa yet that I have decided to marry Nzvaura. It is true she is only hearing of this here in court, but I intend to tell her using our traditional way,” he said.
In her application Mutsvangwa told the court that Nzvaura was in the habit of sending abusive text messages and was violent when she visited her residence.
Responding to the protection order application against her, Nzvaura told the court that she would never stop going to Mutsvangwa’s residence because the place belongs to their husband’s late first wife.
“She has no right to chase me from the house because it is not hers. It belongs to Mande’s late first wife.” Mr Serima ordered Nzvaura to stop sending abusive messages and to observe peace towards her. He further ordered Mande to go and resolve his issues with his wives.
