The refreshing documentary was filmed in October in New York, United States, featuring six other artists.
The other artists, who were involved in the project, are Sam Fischer, Jas Kayser, Mopiano, Katie and Jordan Hawkins.
Yamaha is a business company involved in the manufacture and sale of audio products, professional audio equipment, information and telecommunication equipment, and it also empowers people to make waves with their sound and music.
And, being the only Zimbabwean artist to have been afforded this rare opportunity, Gemma could not hide her excitement.
“I was lucky enough to be involved in an incredible project with Yamaha Music.
“We’re all in London to celebrate the release of this amazing three-part doccie.
“Music for me is everything, it’s communication, social commentary, connection as well as passion,” she said.
Gemma said she uses music to express herself.
“I think self-expression through music is the simplest way of healing or dealing from something.
“The amazing part of music is that through lyrics, melodies playing and figuring out how you feel can be portrayed by art.”
Gemma is currently trending on YouTube with her new EP A Girl From Harare’ which was filmed at the National Art Gallery in Harare.
She is one of the consistent female artists on the local music landscape who has made giant strides to try and conquer the world.
