MUSIC superstar Jah Prayzah delivered a memorable performance at Pagomba Café on Friday night, leaving hundreds of fans clamouring for more long after the final curtain fell in the early hours of the morning.

Dubbed “The Jah Experience” – Beitbridge Edition, the show attracted a large crowd, with the venue beginning to fill from 8pm as fans streamed in for one of the biggest entertainment events to be hosted in the border town in recent years.

Zimdancehall artiste Ndunge Yuti warmed up the stage, while an array of DJs kept revellers entertained and the atmosphere lively ahead of the main act.

By midnight, Pagomba Café was packed to capacity, with some patrons spilling outside while others jostled for space to witness a rare full-scale performance by one of Zimbabwe’s biggest music stars.

Shortly after midnight, Jah Prayzah took to the stage with his band and immediately brought the crowd to life. The Sungano hitmaker, whose musical journey began with his 2007 debut album of the same name, received a rapturous welcome from the audience as he greeted fans in his trademark style.

It was a fitting reception for an artiste whose career reached new heights with the success of songs such as Gochi Gochi and Tsviriyo, which helped establish him as one of Zimbabwe’s leading musicians.

For the next three hours, Jah Prayzah treated fans to an energetic performance, blending timeless favourites with newer material in a set that kept the audience fully engaged.
Backed by a polished and disciplined live band, the performance showcased the high production standards and stagecraft that have become synonymous with the award-winning musician.

The band’s choreography, musical precision and stage presence complemented Jah Prayzah’s commanding performance, creating an experience that resonated with fans throughout the night.

Despite the cold weather, revellers danced relentlessly, sang along to every song and created an electrifying atmosphere inside the venue.

The excitement was such that beverages reportedly ran out early, as fans immersed themselves in an evening of music, dance and celebration.

Among the standout performances of the night were Ruzhowa, Goto, Jerusarema and Seke Mutema.
When Jah Prayzah performed Ruzhowa, the crowd responded enthusiastically,

transforming the venue into a giant sing-along as mobile phones illuminated the night and fans joined in word for word.

Between performances, the musician expressed his appreciation to the Beitbridge audience for their support and pledged to return.

Throughout the show, he demonstrated the versatility that has become a hallmark of his career, effortlessly transitioning between emotional ballads and energetic dance tracks without losing momentum.

The concert ended at around 3am with a fireworks display that lit up the night sky as Jah Prayzah closed with a spirited rendition of Goto.

Even after the performance ended, many fans remained at the venue, chanting for an encore and refusing to leave as they called for the musician to return to the stage.
For many attendees, the concert was more than just an ordinary music event.

It served as a reminder of why Jah Prayzah remains one of Zimbabwe’s most sought-after live performers, consistently combining professionalism, discipline and crowd engagement to deliver memorable performances.

The show lived up to expectations set by Pagomba Café Entertainment Manager Keith Webster Ndiweni, popularly known as DJ Keitho, who had described the event as more than a concert and positioned it as a celebration of Zimbabwean music and culture.

“The fans should expect a major live performance from Jah Prayzah — high-energy, full-stage entertainment. A celebration of Zimbabwean music and culture, with fans coming together from Beitbridge, Masvingo and surrounding areas,” he said.

DJ Keitho said organisers had invested heavily in production to ensure the concert matched Jah Prayzah’s reputation for delivering world-class live shows.

“We will be delivering a professionally produced show, with strong sound, lighting and stage presentation. A lively crowd atmosphere — singing along, dancing and enjoying Jah

Prayzah’s biggest songs. A premium concert experience, rather than just an ordinary night out.

“We have seen a strong ticket demand, so fans are encouraged to secure their tickets early.

“Jah Prayzah’s recent live shows have been praised for their polished production, energetic performance, and strong audience interaction, so people can expect a proper concert experience,” he said.

By the end of the night, both the organisers and fans appeared to have received exactly what they had hoped for: a high-energy spectacle from one of Zimbabwe’s biggest musical exports.
