The show forms part of the club’s reggae nights which have been steadily gaining popularity in the city over the past few months. This will be the crew’s second show in Bulawayo after they put up an electric performance at Jocks and Saddle in September.
In an interview, the manager at the joint, Andrew Nzombe said the presence of Judgement Yard, who recently released their 16th album, Judgement Yard Volume 16, showed the club was steadily progressing towards its goal of providing top-notch reggae and dancehall entertainment every Friday.
“We hope with the presence of Judgement Yard we will be able to satisfy our patrons’ taste for reggae and dancehall. They are one of the top groups in the genre in the country and I hope that this shows that the club’s reggae nights can only grow bigger and better,” he said.
Nzombe said the show will give fans a chance to get a good taste of the music from the group, as they had proved through their previous albums that they make reggae and dancehall of the highest quality.
“Through this show fans will be able to sample some of the music off the group’s latest offering. This will be excellent show as Judgement Yard has proved in the past with the music that they have released, that they are one of the best exponents of reggae and dancehall around,” he said.
Nzombe said the club is looking to bringing in more acts of a similar nature in future as they gear their efforts towards being a venue for the best in entertainment in the city. Besides reggae, he said other genres like jazz and house would also be getting attention from the club in the future.
“We are looking to bring in more live acts in the near future and that can only make the club better. We are also paying attention to other genres and fans should look out as we will be bringing them nothing but the best,” he said.
