JUST IN: SEAC chair speaks on visit

VISITING SADC Electoral Advisory Council (SEAC) chairperson Advocate Leshele Thohlane has met Foreign Affairs and International Trade Minister Dr Subisiso Moyo at his Munhumutapa offices.

He briefed the media regarding the purpose of his week-long mission in the country.

Adv. Thohlane said he was in the country to assess Zimbabwe’s state of preparedness for the forthcoming harmonised elections.

“During the visit we will also interact with election stakeholders, among them political parties, the media and then give an assessment on the republic’s readiness before writing a recommendation to the region’s Executive Secretary,” said Adv. Thohlane.
