WARRIORS forward Tino Kadewere marked his return from injury with a cameo appearance last night when Olympique Lyon beat Danish side Brondby 3-0 in a Europa League match.

Kadewere, who had been out for three weeks with a thigh injury, was introduced in the last eight minutes as Lyon consolidated their place at the top of Group A with a dominant performance at home.

Cameroonian Karl Toko Ekambi scored a double before setting up Frenchman, Houssem Aouar, for the third goal of the night.

The victory was also key in building up their confidence ahead of the Derby against Saint-Etienne on Sunday. Kadewere was injured in Zimbabwe’s World Cup qualifying match against South Africa at the National Sports Stadium last month.

The injury ruled him out of the back-to-back World Cup matches against Ghana set for next week.
