DYNAMOS coach Kelvin Kaindu is beaming with pride after being crowned the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League August Coach of the Month.
The Zambian gaffer, who has been steering DeMbare’s fight for survival, described the accolade as a rare and humbling honour.
“I think it’s for the first time that a coach who has been at the bottom of the log gets such a recognition. It’s really pleasing,” said Kaindu.
He was quick to credit his players and technical team for their role in the turnaround.
“While it’s an individual award, I think it came as a result of team effort,” he added.
Kaindu, a former Highlanders, How Mine and Triangle United mentor, now turns his focus to a tricky clash against Triangle United at Rufaro Stadium on Sunday.
“I think it’s going to be an open game. Triangle United have got a coach, Genesis Mangombe, who knows a lot about the Dynamos system,” said the God-fearing coach.
Meanwhile, Scotland FC’s hotshot striker Tymon Machope was voted the August Player of the Month after a string of impressive performances.
