Kaindu wields axe

Players at How Mine have come to understand that about coach Kelvin Kaindu who has since dropped left-back Qadr Amini from the starting 11 for failing to toe the line.

Amini was left out in the nil-all draw against Mutare City Rovers at Luveve Stadium last Sunday.

A fortnight ago he was pulled out just after 30 minutes of action for Godfrey Nguwodzawo in the 4-3 defeat to Highlanders in the Chibuku Super Cup quarter finals at Barbourfields Stadium.

And coach Kaindu revealed he is not happy with the attitude of the ex-Dynamos left back.

a�?When a player behaves in a certain manner which does not go down well with the technical team then as a coach I have to make a decision. We had to show him that we can do without him and that indiscipline will not be tolerated.

No player is bigger than the club,a�? said Kaindu.

To fill the void left by bad boy Amini, coach Kaindu made some drastic changes that saw striker Milton Ncube, a well known goal poacher, pulled back into defence.

And Kaindu is not afraid of taking chances to prove to wayward players that he is the centre of power at the gold miners.

a�?We would rather lose a match but with dedicated players on the pitch. Milton is a utility player who can play in different positions, of course we would like to play him as a second striker but when the need arises he can come in as a defender,a�? he said.

The Zambian gaffer is happy with the progress of one of his younger protA�gA�es Adolf Muganyi.

a�?Hea��s a young forceful player with determination and hunger to do well. Like I have said in the past we are building a team around youngsters for next season but ita��s still work in progress,a�? he added.
