A Kenyan reverend Yesu Wa Tongaren who claims to be ‘Jesus Christ’ is believed to have sought refuge at a police station after members of his community threatened to ‘crucify’ him during the Easter Holiday.
Whether this remains blasphemous or a gimmick, it is yet to be established whether the clergy raised the alarm and if he is in any danger.
Magnetic News reported that, he told police on Sunday that members of his community in Bungoma have vowed to crucify him just as was done to the son of God.
The residents feel he will also resurrect on the third day.

He has reported the matter to the police saying he does not feel safe anymore around his people especially this time of the year.
Reports say that, the said members of his community only want him to prove himself and if anything he has been preaching to his followers that he is the real God, is true.
It was also gathered that members of the community assured the man of God that if he is truly the messiah, he will resurrect on the third day and go to heaven after the crucifixion so he should not worry at all.
In one of his famous miracles, the reverend who commands a huge following, allegedly turned water into tea during a wedding ceremony in Bungoma, Kenya.
However, in an another interview with TUKO.co.ke, Yesu Wa Tongaren said God’s army is protecting him from any harm and those who have sensationalised the matter will be punished by God.
