ZANU PF National Chairman Cde Simon Khaya Moyo has expressed satisfaction with the way the party conducted its nominations for candidates to contest in next week’s primary elections over the weekend. Cde Khaya Moyo said this while addressing a press conference at Zanu PF headquarters today.

“Reports from all provinces indicate that the processing of applications by Zanu PF aspiring candidates in all categories for the forthcoming harmonised elections have proceeded very smoothly without any incidents.

“The applications are said to be overwhelming indicating the robustness of the revolutionary party and its thriving democracy. “The chairmen of all Provincial Election Directorates are expected to hand in all applications from their provinces to the National Elections Directorate by 4pm today,” he said.

The NED will meet tomorrow to scrutinise the applications while the Politburo will then meet on Wednesday to approve the final list of the candidates to contest the elections to be held on Monday.
