A Matopo traditional healer who once hogged the limelight a few years ago after revelations that he could cure HIV positive people is at it again as hundreds of people gather at his homestead to be set free from wayward evil spirits haunting them.
It is said that ita��s drama after drama at his homestead in Silozwi village of Matopo, Matabeleland South, as evil spirits confess their works.
One villager revealed that Khulu Mandla Nyathi, a traditional healer-cum-prophet had set a number of villagers free from evil spirits.
a�?You know there are those evil spirits we call hard core. Even if someone starts going to church, ita��s close to impossible to exorcise them.
a�?Such spirits use a person for different works such as bewitching others unknowingly and stopping that person from getting married or a job.
a�?Khulu Nyathi before setting these people free, makes the evil spirits confess their deeds in public and thereafter the person becomes free,a�? said the source.
When Khulu Nyathi was contacted for comment, he confirmed the reports.
a�?All evil spirits and demons can be a�?removeda�� from people. I communicate with these evil spirits through prayer and make them confess their works and reveal the person who sent it so I can easily send it back and set the person in question free.
a�?People who are being haunted by evil spirits usually have the same problems of not getting married, being unlucky and hated by everyone,a�? he said.
Khulu Nyathi still claimed that he cures HIV positive people and after a certain period of time they go for testing where doctors confirm them HIV negative.
a�?My herbs kill viruses in the blood and I always tell my patients to continue taking their ARVs at the same time with herbs until they test negative,a�? said Khulu Nyathi.
