Tangata said their preparations have been progressing well and they are raring to go.
“In terms of preparations, it’s quite good. If we go there I will do my best and make my country proud.
“Our challenge might come from South Africa and Madagascar. If we work hard we will make it,” said Tangata.
Tangata, however, bemoaned lack of sponsorship in the sport.
“The only problem is probably that we will train and fail to travel, it demoralises us. We are doing quite well in terms of competition and development, but we need sponsorship so that we know which tournaments we will compete.
“For instance, if we have funds set aside for international tournaments it will be more organised,” Tangata said.
Zimbabwe kickboxing association president, Tony Kamangira, said the team would camp in Victoria Falls next week as they intensify their preparations.
