Kidnapped teen battles for life

A 14-year-old boy kidnapped movie style in Gweru is battling for his life at Gweru General Hospital.

The teenager from Chiundura was abducted by unknown assailants who forced him to climb up an electricity pole resulting in him sufferingA� electric shock.

Speaking from his hospital bed,A� Taonezi Musoni said that he was kidnapped by unknown people who drove a black Toyota Noah on Friday near Town Country robots in Gweru around 9 am.

The assailants took him to a place near Gwenoro Dam where they forced him to climb an electricity pole failure to which, they threatened to mutilate his genitals.

a�?I was crossing the robots at Town Country on Friday in the morning when four people (one of them an old woman) forced me into their car. They covered my face and drove off,a�? he said.

When they got to the bush they threatened to cut his private parts. They even showed him they had the capacity to do so.

a�?The car stopped in the middle of the bush and they removed the cloth from my head. They showed me three male organs and said they would cut mine if I refused to climb up the electricity pole. I climbed and suffered electric shock,a�? he said.

They stripped him naked but somehow left him there without doing anything else.

a�?I walkedA� from the bush in search of the main road , thata��s when I met a man and I narrated to him what had happened. I used his phone to call my mother,a�? he added.

His mother, Dzivaidzo Kutsira said she had sent him with his twin brother Tangwadza to withdraw money from the bank.

However, his twin brother, Tangwadza returned home alone.

a�?I received a call that my son had been electrocuted and that he was battling for his life at Gweru Provincial Hospital. I reported the matter to the police,a�? said Kutsira.
