POLICE in Bulawayo have launched a manhunt for a 27-year-old Emganwini man wanted in connection with the fatal stabbing of a 21-year-old man last year.
Clayton Khumalo is wanted over the murder of Tafadzwa Hunda, also of Emganwini, in a case that has remained unresolved since December.
In a statement, Bulawayo police spokesperson Inspector Nomalanga Msebele said Khumalo stabbed Hunda together with a friend who has since been arrested.
The attack occurred on 20 December 2025 in Emganwini.
Hunda succumbed to the injuries the following day.
Insp Msebele appealed to members of the public to assist them in tracking down Khumalo, who remains at large.
She urged anyone with information that could lead to his arrest to come forward.
“Police in Bulawayo are appealing to members of the public for information that may lead to the arrest of Clayton Khumalo, a male adult aged 27 years, of Emganwini, Bulawayo, who is wanted in connection with a case of murder,” said Insp Msebele.
She warned members of the public against confronting Khumalo if they spot him, but instead immediately alert law enforcement.
Information can be reported at any nearest police station.
Members of the public can also contact CID Homicide in Bulawayo on 0292 271568 or investigating officer Detective Assistant Inspector Shiriyapenga on 0774 978 653.
Police said information supplied by the public could prove crucial in bringing the wanted suspect before the courts.
The circumstances surrounding the alleged stabbing will be ventilated in court once the suspect is arrested and prosecuted.
For now, Khumalo remains a wanted man, with police appealing to anyone who knows his whereabouts to help end the manhunt.
