Kim Kardashian celebrates 40th birthday

KIM Kardashian celebrated turning 40 in style with a pre-pandemic surprise party on Wednesday’s instalment of “Keeping Up with the Kardashians”.

While the star’s big day on Wednesday was dampened by the Covid-19 crisis, she was treated to a lavish surprise party months prior by her famous family and closest pals, with the bash unfolding on the star’s reality TV show.

“I think just, like, turning 40, I am not freaking out or anything. It is definitely a realisation, like, ‘Holy s**t. I am 40’,” shared Kim.

“I had all these, like, dreams and goals for my 40th birthday that can’t come true. That is what I just keep thinking: What happened? How did this happen? How did I get here?’.”

The bash featured elements from Kim’s 10th birthday, as captured on film by late dad Robert, and featured a DJ, lavish cake and siblings Kourtney, Kendall, Kylie and Khloe wearing black leotards and bow ties to recreate a childhood Cabaret-inspired dance. Family and friends were in attendance, including Kim’s husband Kanye West.

Although the party took place earlier this year, Kim still celebrated her special day on Wednesday, with several flower bouquets and arrangements, which she shared on her social media pages.

Her family shared tributes, with her mother Kris Jenner leading with a gallery of throwback snaps.

“Happy Birthday to my Kimberly!!! You are such a beautiful soul and an amazing human being,” penned the mum-of-six.

“I thank God every day for you and for choosing me to be your mom.

“Thank you for always being there for us and for every single precious moment and memory we make. I love you so so much, it is impossible to even measure and I am so proud of all you do.”

“Happy birthday Keeks,” added Khloe.

“My entire life, you have always been someone that I have admired. Still do and always will… I pray, on your birthday and every day of your life, that you forever feel loved, respected and appreciated!

“Happy birthday @kimkardashian!! You are everything to so many but especially me. Until the end of time, I love you,” she added, as Kourtney shared a gallery of snaps on her Instagram stories.

“Happy Birthday to my wonderful sister,” wrote model Kendall on her own Instagram Stories, with Kylie writing, “happy birthday… love u forever and ever sister,” alongside a photo of the pair.

Meanwhile, Lisa Marie Presley has paid tribute to her son Benjamin Keough on what would have been his 28th birthday, revealing the pain of his death as “suffocating”.

Benjamin took his life in July, and his mum marked his birthday with a heartfelt Instagram post on Wednesday.

“My beautiful, beautiful angel, I worshipped (sic) the ground you walked on, on this earth and now in Heaven,” she wrote.

“My heart and soul went with you. The depth of the pain is suffocating and bottomless without you every moment of every day. I will never be the same.

“Please wait for me my love, and hold my hand while I stay to continue to protect and raise your little sisters and to be here for Riley. I know you would want that. Happy Birthday my sweet sweet Boy. You were much too good for this world.”

Earlier in the day, Benjamin’s actress sister Riley marked her late brother’s birthday by sharing a series of heart-breaking photos of him on social media.

“Happy birthday beautiful angel,” the Mad Max: Fury Road star captioned the montage, which featured shots of the siblings – Elvis Presley’s grandchildren at Riley’s wedding to Ben Smith-Petersen five years ago.

Benjamin, Lisa Marie’s son from her marriage to Danny Keough, died after shooting himself at his family’s mansion in Calabasas, California.
