King Dube dies

“We are still in a state of shock following the death of a brother who was also a father figure and God-fearing person. He also had respect of other people as well as his family,” she said.
Dube reportedly complained of intermittent headaches last month after which the doctors discovered he had a brain tumor.
National Arts Council director Elvas Mari said he was devastated by the loss of a versatile artiste whom he had worked with for a long time in the arts industry.
“It is saddening to note that just when the country is trying to come to terms with the loss of a great musician, Andy Brown, now we lose a decorated artiste who immensely contributed to the growth of the film sector in the country,” said Mari.
Dube is survived by his wife Mary and three sons Nomnzamo Jabulani, Nkosilathi and King Jnr.
He will be buried on today at Warren Hills Cemetery in Harare.
Mourners are gathered at house number 7 Tiptol Close in Mandara.
