Kirsty for IOC Summit

ZIMBABWE’S Minister of Sport, Kirsty Coventry, will tomorrow join her fellow top International Olympic Committee members for the 12th Olympic Summit in Lausanne, Switzerland. 

Coventry, who is an IOC Board Member, is among the high profile invitees for this big one-day indaba. She will be among a number of Guests at this meeting. 

This meeting will be held at the Olympic House, Lausanne, Switzerland. 

According to the IOC, discussions will focus on several topics of interest to the Olympic Movement, including the unifying mission of the Olympic Games in the international community, the upcoming Olympic Games Paris 2024, updates on other forthcoming editions of the Olympic Games, esports within the Olympic Movement, and digital engagement as well as the protection of athletes. The Olympic Summit brings together leading representatives of the Olympic Movement.

It forms part of the ongoing dialogue and consultation on important issues and subjects of significance for the future of the Olympic Movement.

IOC President Thomas Bach has convened the 12th Olympic Summit, which he will chair. The IOC will issue a press release after the Olympic Summit providing information on the discussions.
