Kylie Jenner living the teen dream

KYLIE JENNER goes to the mall with her pals carrying a US$3 000 designer handbag. Now that she has turned 16, Kylie Jenner is determined to carve out a style for herself. In her attempt to find a signature look, the “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” star tired out a riskier fashion trend last Tuesday.

The 16-year-old headed out with friends in Los Angeles, California, wearing an oversized T-shirt and short shorts that made the star appear like she was not wearing shorts.

For her day out shopping with friends at Bloomingdale’s, Kylie wore the white T-shirt – which featured a Leonardo da Vinci-inspired line drawings — like a very short dress, adding a pair of combat boots that finished half way up her calf.

Channelling the current style trend of 1990s slacker, the famous teen threw her hair up into a messy bun atop her head and wore a thick choker silver chain round her neck.

Of course, as the star of one of the highest grossing reality shows, the daughter of a former Olympic decathlete and already with a number of her own endorsement deals in place — Kylie is far from a mall rat slacker.

Making this obvious was that while she seemed to forgo pants in favour of a grungier look, Kylie toted the just released Celine multicolour luggage bag in calfskin, which retails for just under US$3000.

The Kardashian clan is known for their penchant for luxury leather goods. Kylie’s half-sister Kim, is renowned for her very expensive obsession with Hermes Birkin bags, which start at US$10 000 and has been seen sporting one of the line’s most expensive crocodile handbags.

Kylie is clearly a big fan of her new bag as, when she headed out to dinner with one of her friends to meet her sister Kendal as well as almost brother-in-law Scott Disck, nephew Mason Disck and her father Bruce, she changed her outfit but not her bag.

For the family night out, Kylie made sure to look like she was wearing pants this time, donning a pair of high-waisted leather shirts, a basic white T-shirt and the same combat boots. — Dailymail.

Selena wows crowd in Amsterdam
HER new thriller “Getaway” bombed at the box office over the weekend, but Selena Gomez showed no sign of disappointment as she took to the stage to promote her new album “Stars Dance” in Amsterdam, Netherlands, recently.

The energetic performance may have been due to a gratifying development in her music career as she performed to a sold-out audience at the Heineken Music Hall after topping the charts in the US earlier this summer.

The popstrel ran through her choreographed dance routines in black stiletto boots, featuring a sexy high lace up design.
Completing her stage costume was a slinky white shirt as she wore her dark locks in a contrived mess of tangled curls, flowing over her shoulders. And while the star’s performance was a triumph in the Netherlands, back home in the US was a different story.

The former Disney princess turned dramatic actress’ latest serious endeavour “Getaway” was a total failure at the box office over what is normally a lucrative holiday weekend in America.

The action thriller, co-starring Ethan Hawke, drew in less than the predicted US$6 million over the long Labour Day weekend.
Meanwhile, in Amsterdam the “Spring Breakers” star got cuddly with some of her fans.

The star posted a series of snaps to her Instagram account of her hugging and getting playful with various die-hard Gomez followers.
In memento, Selena posed with a group of handsome young men in Amsterdam as she wore a pair of spectacles. The pop singer captioned the picture self-deprecatingly: “And remember, nerds need love too #amsterdamluv #goolucck”.

Meanwhile, at the MTV VMAs last week Gomez cosied up to the “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” singer Taylor Swift, who looked older than her 23 years in a plunging black dress and smart up hairdo.

Scooping up the award for Best Pop Video with “Come & Get Me”, the songstress beat out hot competition from Miley Cyrus, Bruno Mars and Justin Timberlake. The video showed the pop princess in various idyllic scenes, including a flower filled meadow and a mountain range. The envy of teenage girls everywhere, Selena received her Moon-man Award from Brit band One Direction.

JB steps out first time after attack
JUSTIN BIEBER steps out for the first time after being attacked at a Toronto nightclub as he lands in Los Angeles via private jet.
It was less than two days ago that he was attacked by a man at a nightclub in Toronto, Canada. And as Justin Bieber emerged for the first time since the incident he appeared to be sobered by the experience.

The 19-year-old was spotted arriving by private jet into Los Angeles after a long weekend in his native Canada, on Monday.
The teen idol stepped off his upscale mode of air travel in a flat billed cap as he kept his gaze lowered at the ground beneath his feet. Wearing a grey baggy jumper and a pair of oversize red shorts the “Baby” singer looked slightly bulkier in his comfy attire, which is most certainly due to his active strength building regimen. Completing his travel getup was a pair of grey sneakers as he loped in a seemingly morose mood to a waiting chauffeured car.

But missing from his attire was his now signature Pharaoh medallion, indicating that the large gold piece of jewellery is most likely the US$40 000 necklace the star is reported to have lost in his nightclub scuffle.

According to reports, the pop star was charged by an angry man around 3am on Saturday at a Toronto hotspot. His rival got a hold of his shirt but was prevented from tackling the star by quick acting bouncers, who grabbed the assailant and dragged him to the floor.

According to eyewitnesses, Justin was jumped after leaving the safety of the VIP section to mingle with ordinary club-goers. While his assailant was escorted out of the club, the hot-tempered teen idol soon made his way home of his own accord.

Police were reportedly never called about the incident and Bieber’s spokesman declined to comment on the incident when contacted by Mail Online.

According to the Toronto Star, Uniun Nightclub operations manager Orin Bristol reported that Justin lost a US$40 000 gold chain in the process.

“The fan was just a small little guy,” Bristol said of the guy trying to take a picture with Bieber. “He wasn’t being aggressive”. — Toronto Star.
