La Liga, Black Bhinos clash

La Liga clash against Premiership side Black Rhinos in a top of the table clash at Hellenics on Sunday.
Both teams have started the season strongly winning their opening three matches.
La Liga, a team owned by Renaissance Bank, stormed into Division One after acquiring the franchise Simba Stars and got off to a flying start by beating ZPC Kariba 2-1 away at Chaminuka.
They went on to dismiss moneybags Highfield United by a solitary goal in their second match before seeing off the challenge of Cossy Rules after winning 2-0 at Rimuka in Kadoma.
Former Dynamos midfielder Naison Muchekela, who is the La Liga coach, is confident of his teams’ chances of upstaging Chipembere.
“We have settled well in the league considering that most of our players have been playing in the Bankers League.
“Rhinos are a good team but we are going to do our best to make sure that we keep on winning matches.
“We will treat Rhinos as any other team that we have played before and l think we have enough firepower to match them,” said Muchekela.
La Liga will be hoping that former Douglas Warriors forward Lot Chiunga maintains his good form upfront which has seen him scoring three goals in three matches so far.
The army side began their campaign on a positive note by dismissing Cossy Rules 1-0 in their first game before edging Highfield United 2-1 and Karoi 1-0.
Nesbert Saruchera, the Rhinos coach, believes his team is in the right frame of mind but acknowledged the threat posed by La Liga.
“Of course, La Liga have been playing well but we are not reading too much into them.
“We are prepared for the match and we are not afraid of anyone, l believe if we play the way we have been playing lately then no doubt we will win,” said Saruchera.
