CONTROVERSIAL Zim dancehall artiste, Brenda “Lady B” Bechani, said she will not change her style despite getting a backlash for explicit chants.
The singer recently released a clean seven-track EP and said she will cater for all her fans.
“I cannot change who I am, we can only change clothes.
“Some of my fans were complaining that my music is too explicit, so I have decided to give them what they want.
“There are many artists out there and people should choose what to listen to and what they do not like.
“This is a clean album which I believe will have an impact on my fans,” she said.
Lady B relocated to the United Kingdom last year after her wedding.
“Life as a musician here is a bit difficult as we do not constantly hold shows and I really miss that.
“Studios are also expensive when compared to Zimbabwe, but everything else is okay.
“I got so lucky because I married a man who is in the arts industry so he understands my line of work.”
She said she will be back in September and promised her fans fireworks.
She featured Tocky Vibes on her recently released EP.
