INSIZA North MP Cde Andrew Langa yesterday donated a bull, goods and groceries worth more than $4,000 to Filabusi District Hospital. The donation included 30 blankets, mealie-meal, cooking oil, rice, and soap, toilet paper and vegetables among other food stuffs.  Cde Langa, who is also the Minister of Sports, Arts and Culture, said the donation was meant to assist patients.

“As a ministry, there was a realisation that patients at the hospital were facing food shortages. The aim is to improve quality of healthcare  services to our community,” said Cde Langa.

Thembinkosi Ngwenya, the district health committee chairperson, commended the minister and the business community for the donation.
“We are grateful to the business community and the people of Filabusi for  their generosity.

“This will go a long way in easing some of the challenges facing the hospital,” said Ngwenya.
Shortages of drugs, food and other consumables have been affecting the operations of the hospital which services the entire Insiza district.
Cde Langa also donated 100 soccer balls, two sets of soccer kits and 20 satchels to ten schools from Matabeleland South.
