THE proceedings for the burial of the late Vice President Phelekezela Mphoko have officially begun, marking a sombre yet significant moment in the nation’s history.

His casket, draped in the national flag, has been put on display as family, friends, and dignitaries gather to pay their last respects.

Among notable figures from the GOVERNMENT are Cde Judith Ncube, the Minister for Bulawayo Province; Cde Richard Moyo, the Minister for Matabeleland North Province; and Dr Sithembiso Nyoni, the Minister of Environment, Climate, and Wildlife.

Their presence underscores the impact of the late VP’s legacy and the respect he commanded within the political sphere.

The atmosphere is filled with a mix of sorrow and gratitude, as attendees share stories of his dedication and service.

Senior government officials and service chiefs have also joined the proceedings, highlighting the unity and solidarity of the nation during this time of mourning.
