KoSamuriwo provides Christmas hampers to elderly in Luveve and Emakhandeni

Online Reporter

BULAWAYO businessman and philanthropist Cde Brian Samuriwo is today hosting hundreds of elderly citizens from the Luveve and Emakhandeni suburbs, providing them with Christmas hampers.

Cde Samuriwo is the Zanu PF shadow MP for the area and runs a thriving Pub and Grill outlet, Ko-Samuriwo, which employs numerous youths from the area.

The Christmas hamper donation is part of his corporate social responsibility.

Since he started running the Pub and Grill business about a year ago, it has gained traction in the city, creating downstream benefits for informal sector workers who have found opportunities through the patrons who frequent the establishment.

Cde Samuriwo is a firm believer in President Mnangagwa’s philosophy of Ilizwe Lakhiwa Ngabanikazi Balo, and in line with that, he is involved in skills training for local youths.

Today’s programme targets the elderly, who, despite their advanced age, are still expected to provide for their families with limited resources.
