THE case in which MDC Renewal Team treasurer-general Elton Mangoma stands accused of snatching a provincial youth leader’s wife took a nasty turn today when the victim, Mr Believe Tevera, was severely assaulted by thugs believed to be aligned to the treasurer-general at the party’s Harare offices.
Mr Tevera, whose wife Yemurai Maravanyika was reportedly enticed by Mr Mangoma into leaving her husband and their one-year-old son, had gone to the MDC-T Renewal Team head offices in Eastlea to petition the party leadership to investigate the matter and take disciplinary action.
The MDC Renewal Team national council was having a meeting at the party headquarters when the skirmishes occurred.
A report was made at Harare Central Police Station under IR051347.
