MDC-T secretary general Mr Tendai Biti last week said the election roadmap that was endorsed by Sadc would be reviewed.
Said Cde Mangwana: “Voter education and voter inspection can happen at the same time. In actual fact those processes can be done now. As people register, others can be inspecting the voters’ roll to check if their names are there.
“These things can be done now. People don’t need to wait for the new constitution to come into place for them to register. It is very possible to have the elections by June 29.”
Speaking at Sapes Trust in Harare last week, Mr Biti said some of the timelines of the 2011 roadmap that was endorsed by the extraordinary summit of Sadc Heads of State and Government in Sandton, South Africa the same year were going to be amended.
He said if the timelines in the draft were to be followed, it would result in the elections being held way after the expiry of the current Parliament.
